Free Talk – Episode 1 – Earthquake Risk
I’m producing and editing a bi-monthly segment airing on NovusTV and Van City Buzz called Free Talk where our host Allison Riley will be exploring and reporting on current issues facing residents of the Vancouver area. Our premiere episode focuses on the recent earthquakes off the coast of Vancouver Island, and how prepared local citizens and city officials are for the next big one.
September | Yoga on The Dock
This weekend we paid a final farewell to summer with some adventuring, surfing, and morning yoga on the dock.
Autumn, bring on the wool sweaters, corn mazes, and pumpkin spice lattes.
Joshua Tree
I flew down to California this weekend to retrieve my laptop from the evidence locker in Indio. It was nice to finally get my laptop back, but since I bought a new one it was mostly just an excuse to eat BBQ and sample some beer at the Orange International Street Fair. After picking up my laptop on Tuesday I got pretty bored hanging out in my grandma’s country club retirement pad… I don’t golf, I’m terrible at tennis, and bingo night wasn’t scheduled till Wednesday. Out of sheer boredom I was going to push my luck and see how far grandma’s golf cart would take me around town, but it was struggling just to make it up the 2% grade to the community pool. Giving up on the country club retirement lifestyle I made a last minute decision to drive out to Joshua Tree to hang out in a “real” desert before my flight back home.
